Before this I had the HS810 which unfortunately has stopped working after 14 happy months, forcing me to buy a new one, this HS820.

The HS820 is just £19.99 from where I bought it whereas 14 months ago the HS810 cost £70 so prices have come down hugely but so has build costs. This will be because the 820 lacks the fold down mouth piece which takes the microphone closer to your mouth which is better but also, and this is the bit I miss most: the opening up of that mouth piece activated ... I've now had two of these devices in 18 months. The first failed after 9 months - wouldn't charge. The second has now failed - keeps disconnecting from the phone, and the volume button has broken.
