someone just bluejacked me! Hasnt happened in ages and usually only happens after I send something first but this one was done all by themselves!

Was having a sandwhich in the students union and got a contact saying hey! I scanned straight away but no devices came up so they must have been hidden but still nice to get jacked!

I've been jacked a good few times. Usually on the Metro, and the majority of the times it's been adult content.

The downside is, they've always had their BT hidden so I can't jack 'em back. Crying or Very sad

U wanna b careful. U could get bluesnarfed (not the same as blujacking i kno). Ppl jack ur files or make ur fone call premium rate numbers.

U probably kno this already but i thought i might as well say it 4 other ppl who r readin it.

bluesarfing is not a big as threast as you are led to believe. Very few phones can actually be snarfed and the snarfer needs a laptop running linux so its not very likely.

Suppose so. But i read a thread that sed ppl could bluesnarf u from thier pocket pc (like on TRH) and even though very few phones are vulnerable it was still a problem. But i suppose u kno best lol.

Yep, from what I've heard its really not the easiest thing to do - I've read on news sites that it takes a while for the snarfers to complete the actual deed too, so if you're on the move it should be okay - you'll no doubt go out of range, its not like they have much chance of following you!

Also, like TD said, its very very unlikely.

Still, its important to be aware of such things Wink

, has stopped the a bluesnarf attempt by bloover so I am pretty safe leaving it on I think. Yeah as what was mentioned before you have 10m circle that you have to stay in while doing it so the likly hood that you will go out or range is high and basicly not many people know how to do it!

A list of handsets that have the vulnerabilities is found here. If your phone's not on the list, there's a good chance it's safe. Anything phone released since those on the list is likely to be safe. As TopDog said, it's not a big a threat as people think.
