Sorry for two new topics in two days - but this has really excited me!

Hello Dave!!!!

My best Bluejack ever!

This morning on the train to Sheffield (the late train might I add!) I found a device called

Daves Phone.

I sent it my usual contacts, at firsts they didnâ€™t seem to be accepted so I assumed it was a MAN (Manually Accepting Nokia, Dave!) but then it seemed to get them all pretty quickly - could still be a MAN though.

I sent it several contacts and the Dangermouse Theme. I said the train was full, and that the train was grotty. I sent lots of contacts over about 10 or 15 minutes....

Then - Daves Phone tried to pair with me! Brilliant! It tried to pair twice! I sent him a message saying “Are you going to Sheffield?”

Then he tried to pair with me again , but this time his phone was renamed “Yes, Iâ€™m going to Sheffield”!

Needless to say I was well chuffed. Dave showed more intelligence than the average Bluejackee - maybe we could make him one of us I thought!

So I sent him a message saying “Youâ€™re doing it wrong Dave”, then “You need to create a contact..” , then “..and send it via bluetooth” (or something along those lines).

Then I was bluejacked! The message read “Like This?”

I sent him one back saying ‘well doneâ€™ and asked him to visit the site. I received another Bluejack saying “Are you Male/Female”. I replied with “I hate to disappoint you but I am male” (but sent across two different contacts as it wouldnâ€™t fit on one).

He replied with “I thought so”.

I sent him the forum address and tried to send him a Note explaining how much heâ€™d make my day by coming to the forum! But the train had arrived by then and the bodies in the way meant I couldnâ€™t send it. Oh well, this is my best shot yet at getting someone on the forum - donâ€™t let me down Dave!!! You have got great Bluejacking potential - not many people are successful on their first attempt!!!

Nice set of contacts there DM! I hope Dave decides to come to the forums, at least enough to say hello anyway!

I'm suprised most people fail on their first attempt at a bluejack. I managed mine first time but did'nt get the person I was expecting to get!

I really hope he comes here too! If not, then George better had!!

I think Dave will be more likely to come here though as I get the feeling that he might get "the hunger!" - I can see him now experimenting with this new thing to do with his phone! I hope he does, and I hope he enjoys it! I never thought I'd teach someone how to bluejack by bluejacking them the instructions!!!

When I got a text about it this morning from Dan, he sounded so excited! Very Happy

I sent him a round of applause for his fantastic 'jack!

The 2 'jacks you've had in 2 days have got to be up with the greatest of al time! Cool

I know they don't even start to compete with the all time best (the Dylan Moran one - the "Legendary Jack" , the "Jack that dreams are made of!") but they are my best 2!

It really got me excited again about 'Jacking as most of mine seem to be quick one-offs. But over the last couple of weeks I've had a few good ones - and they really keep you on a high!!!

I think that method of changing you bluetooth name and trying to pair was discussed in a news article somewhere. They had found that as the only way to bluejack. Stupid reporters.

I just thought of a way to pair with someone's phone a lot easier...

Name your phone with the key! On an SE, it would display as:

1257 = key
Add to My Devices?
Yes / No

Just a thought! Neutral

That's great! I don't know why you would need to pair with somebody you are bluejacking, but that would make it a lot easier.

I meant for the more malicious things you can do over Bluetooth. If you've read my thread about floAt for SE phones and its capabilities when it's paired with a phone, you'll know what I mean! Surprised

When he tried to pair with me I thought about entering 1234 as I assumed that he would maybe have entered that - But I cleared it off to finish writing my contact!
