Does anyone know any sites where they sell phone data cables?
Does anyone have a Bluetooth USB adapter? How do they work? Can you put a couple of hundred photos on the computer from the hone at once or would i have to send each one seperately?
I was guessing wiht a data cable you could send more but does anyone know?

I use bluetooth to send stuff to and from my phone. With a BT enabled pc you can simply right click a file, then click send to bluetooth / yourphones name. You can also highlight more than one file and do the same thing, so you can send like 10 pictures or ringtones to the phone at once.

If you have like 50 pictures on your phone and cant be bothered to send them all individually, you can open a program called OBEX FILE TRANSFER, which basically shows your phone as another drive on your pc where you can simply drag & drop items where you want them.

The only thing you cant add or remove with the OBEX system is games, as they are copyright. But it works with pictures, themes & sounds.

Forget getting a cable, get a bluetooth dongle !

Yeah, I got a data cable plus a CD full of freeware java games, wallpapers and polyphonic ringtones for my 3510i on eBay for £7.50 inc. postage!

Bluetooth dongles are available from the Vodafone shop and Dixons at the very least, and are about £50, but I'm gonna buy a brand new one off eBay for £15! My friend who already paid up to the high street was a bit annoyed when I told him!

As RedWolf said, the dongles come with a software cd that allows you to do pretty much whatever you want with your phone, including backing up SIM contents (very useful!) and sending messages via your mobile. Some come with ringtone composers, or file converters to turn midi/mp3 files into the appropriate ringtone format of your phone. Also, the higher power a computer can provide means you can get dongles with 100m ranges! You could Bluejack your whole street!

Annnyway, I was flooded with requests for my real photo via PM... well flooded with one from Ellie, so I figured I should obey our b.j lord and master!

Now someone else post theirs so I don't feel so silly!

You know i just noticed we completly changed the subject about posting your photo to bluetooth dongles. Oh dear Confused

Anyway, i got myself a Bluetooth USB dongle out of the Argos superstore catalogue for £30. It has 10m range as does everything i need it to.

You can buy them with 100m range - but i couldnt bluejack my entire street as theres 600 houses on it, and is 2.5 miles long. Slightly bigger than Bluetooths range.

Anyway... i wont be posting my picture for good reason. Certain bumholes who know me on the net under this alias would kill to get their grubby paws on my mug shot in order to doctor it and post it as a joke / insult against me. (Nobody from this site however)

Bought one on Saturday for £20 from the shop round the corner....

I also bought a 128MB MMC card and a 4 port USB hub... which bumped my sale up quite significantly. It took me approx 10 minutes to set up the bluetooth dongle, software and get it working. Bluetooth is awesome!!

Btw - this is me and my g/f at her birthday party last December - she was 20 and had another party on Saturday for her 21st... from which I am still hungover.... alcohol is soooo evil!

Awww! What a lovely couple!

Well done on the £20 dongle purchase! Was the shop local or a chain?

Hehe, thanks Very Happy

It's a small Scottish chain called Silicon Group - they're pretty cheap for most stuff and just round the corner so I go there quite often.

I used to be a big name in Counter Strike and other FPS games like Rogue Spear, and a few other games for the work i did. Ive been interviewed in pc magazines and even got mentioned on TV a couple of times in the USA.

However, nobody except a handfull of people know me under this alias. Under my other name(s) im well known worldwide. The reason i never post my personal photo on the net is because, when you're famous (ish) you become a target. Look at Michael Jackson - whether he is a kiddy fiddler or not hes an easy target for people to slag him off etc.

People have made websites dedicated to slagging me off - and posted (fake) rewards for anyone who can get my mug shot. Losers.

My personal family website where the only pictures of me exist is passworded to the max, and i never tell anyone the address incase someone tries to gain access by other means.
